Jackson County Library offers free internet access and boasts a collection of over 40,000 titles for all of patrons. The library also offers Interlibrary Loan Services and assistance with genealogy research. Fax and copy services are available for a small fee. Summertime is for kids at the library. Special story times, reading programs, activities and performances fill the summer calendar. The library has special programs for adult patrons. Jackson County Library employs a full-time director, two full-time staff members, and one part-time employee to assist you with your search for information.
The Jackson County Library is forming new partnering sponsorships with local groups and businesses. Local businesses have made possible special events. Many more sponsorship opportunities are available that will enable performances, programs, exhibits, movies, and much, much more!
The Jackson County Library has proudly served the citizens of Jackson County since 1930. Originally established in the basement of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the library moved to its current location in 1950 and underwent extensive renovation in 1990. For 82 years, the library has stood as a clear reminder that the people of Jackson County are committed to a bright future through free access to information. Under the sound guidance and direction of the Jackson County Library Board of Directors, the library is the perfect embodiment of “Proud Past, Bright Future.”
